About the department

  • The Department of General Medicine was inaugurated on February 2021 with 150 teaching beds & 150 MBBS students. Our department is one of the best undergraduate teaching departments , Our students engaging in Clinical demonstration classes with the faculty during bedside learning. This department now receives 150 MBBS students.

  • The General Medicine is made to understand by interactive lecture sessions, small group discussions, self-directed learning and integrated teaching. Clinical l classes are being conducted to emphasize the significance of bedside clinical examination that gives the clue to differentials in clinical diagnosis.

  • We are doing Emergency Hemodialysis and Maintenance Hemodialysis on the basis of patient's treatment preferences from 2021, we are doing Plasmapheresis for Rat killer paste poisoning cases and Gullain Barre Syndrome patients from June 2023, we are doing Renal biopsy from November 2024 and Perm Catheter for MHD patients from February 2025, we are doing Hemoperfusion for Paraquat poisoning patients from June 2024 and we also doing Bone marrow study on and off from the beginning.

  • We conducted World Hepatitis day during the year 2022,2023,2024 consecutively and Quiz competition for Undergraduate medical students, General public awareness program,Mass screening program of Hepatitis B and C Virus to the public and awareness program to the UG students are the major parts of World Hepatitis day program on the year 2024.

  • We conducted CME on RECENT ADVANCES INTENSIVE CARE MEDICINE on June 2023, we conducted DIABETES UPDATES 2025 CME program on Feb 2025.
