About the department

• The Department of Orthopaedic Suregy at Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Krishnagiri provides excellent patient care with great infrastructure as per The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and National Medical Council Norms. We provide services in following sub-specialities including Accident and Trauma Care, Joint Replacement Surgery, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine, Spine surgery including Endoscopic spine surgery and Paediatric Orthopaedics. Currently we have team of consultants including one Associate Professor and nine Assistant Professors and we provide 24/7 Accident and Trauma care services.

• We are treating more than 150 patients in OPD and did more than 3000 Orthopedic surgeries per year including both Emergency and Elective surgeries. We have separate male and female wards and post-operative ward

• We teach both theory and patient oriented medical education for 150 medical students per academic year with separate class rooms in Orthopaedic OPD and Wards
